Lets Deliver is a Top-Down Isometric Hybrid casual game in which player as a deliver person has to take the best routes by swiping from junction to junction to deliver all the packages to the customers scattered across the level before the waiting time for the customer expires or your fuel runs out.

As more deliveries are made, players must strategize routes to avoid wasting time and efficiently deliver packages. With simple controls and colorful graphics, the game offers endless challenges across various city landscapes.

Role

As my first project in the studio, the team offered me and the designer freedom to develop a new game which is visually soothing and implements a puzzle styled level. hence we came up with an idea of delivery of package around a town as a level with a certain number of customers scattered across the town. As the decisions were made, I was incharge of the complete gameplay mechanics that included the game from the fuel limit of car which is also included in the shop and number of packages the player can carry, movement of player and all other gameplay mechanics and UI navigation.

Challenges

The game movement was the most challenging part of this project. The movement went with 2 different approach, with the second being the best even though both were similar approaches. The first approach was learning to create my own splines which restricted me as I was able to learn to create a brezier curve. Resulting in creating a number of brezier curves to create 1 path. This costed us a lot of time to create a path system for the car per level. also the rotation of the object was stuttering movement and was compromised due to my experience and knowledge on it.
The second approach made the gameplay much better and help us to accomplish more than the previous syatem. The second approach was created using Path Creator, that helped me to create a much smoother experience and faster way to create a level's path syatem.
